Clear Correct Q & A

What is Clear Correct?

Clear Correct is a popular treatment that Dr. Crowley offers his patients who want beautiful and confident smiles. As an alternative to metal braces, Clear Correct utilizes clear, custom-fit aligners and follows a specific treatment plan determined by Dr. Crowley to help patients achieve straighter teeth. Clear Correct uses SmartTrack®, a patented material custom-designed for your needs and your lifestyle.

How does Clear Correct work?

After you and Dr. Crowley determine that Clear Correct is right for you, he customizes your treatment plan that begins with a scan and digitized map of your teeth to see how the Clear Correct aligners will enable your teeth to shift throughout the treatment. You'll be able to see before and after images of your smile. Aligners are created to fit over your teeth and move them into place as they are worn each day. Patients wear numerous sets of aligners over a period of time until all of the teeth have moved into place as planned. Clear Correct aligners are removable and clear, so you don’t have to worry about changing how you care for your teeth throughout treatment.

How long do I have to wear the Clear Correct aligners?

You must wear your Clear Correct aligners all day, meaning you take them out only when you need to eat and when you brush and floss your teeth. The duration depends on your individual treatment plan. Many patients progress to new aligners each week throughout the treatment plan. They see Dr. Crowley roughly every 6 weeks for their dental check-ups. After you complete your treatment plan, Dr. Crowley will advise on how to maintain your new smile.

How much does Clear Correct cost?

While you’ll pay around the same for Clear Correct as you might pay for metal braces, you’re likely to complete your treatment plan faster, especially if you add the weekly aligners into your plan. Some insurance plans may cover part or all of the cost. If you’re interested in Clear Correct call or schedule your appointment online with Dr. Crowley. He will gladly address all of your questions and concerns to ensure you receive the right treatment to achieve your desired results. The practice is currently welcoming new patients and accepts most major forms of insurance.
