Dr. Diane Iachini (pronounced Eye-uh-keenie) grew up in Ridgewood, New Jersey. She completed her undergraduate training at Colby College in Waterville, Maine. She then went on to earn her D.D.S. from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry in 2010. Following dental school, Dr. Iachini completed one year of a General Practice Residency at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. During this time she gained extensive training in the management of individuals with complex medical problems, head and neck cancer, physical and intellectual disabilities, and traumatic and infectious dental emergencies. She has multifaceted experience in many areas including cosmetic and full-mouth reconstructive procedures, surgical procedures, implant placement and restoration, and managing dental anxiety with IV sedation.

Dr. Iachini prides herself on making her patients feel comfortable in her chair.  Above all, Dr. Iachini wants her patients to be partners in their own care. “One of the responsibilities I take most seriously as a doctor is patient education,” she says. “I wouldn’t consider any treatment successful until every patient is comfortable with the decisions we have made.”

Dr. Iachini is a member of the American Dental Association, the Virginia Dental Association, the Richmond Dental Society, the Academy of General Dentistry, and a Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. When she is not working, Dr. Iachini can be found spending time with her husband and three young children. She also enjoys reading, running, traveling, and spending time with her dogs.
